Sound attenuator PZC

Cylindrical sound attenuators, type PZC and PZC-J, are intended for use in air conditioning and ventilation systems.

Sound attenuator PZC is a cylindrical silencer designed for air conditioning and ventilation systems. Suitable for installation on both suction and discharge sides of axial and radial fans, as well as on circular ducts, the PZC model offers effective noise reduction in a compact form. The attenuator’s outer casing is made of galvanized steel and filled with high-performance sound-absorbing material. The inner duct is constructed from perforated galvanized steel, ensuring optimal protection of the insulation from erosion.

They are convenient for installation to suction or discharge sides of axial fans, to suction side of radial fans, as well as to circular ducts.
The outer casing is made out of galvanized steel sheet, filled with sound absorbing material.
Inner duct of the attenuator is made out of perforated galvanized steel sheet, which protects the infill from erosion.

Standard types:

PZC – attenuator without sound absorbing pod

PZC-J – attenuator with centrally positioned sound absorbing pod

In order to improve aerodynamic characteristics, it is advisable to mount the coned end to the flow exposed side of the pod, what has to be specially indicated on order. Cross-section flow area of the PZC-J attenuator is about 40% smaller than that of the PZC type attenuator.
